The following projects represent work completed by Dan Ward over 10 years in the field prior to founding Freesia Construction.

CROSS LAMENTED TIMBERS (CLT)

The 2023 AIA Winner for Best Use of Wood. A three-story mixed-use Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) structure features floor-to-ceiling windows, Shou-Sugi Ban, and Corten panels. Above the underground 32-space parking garage is the post-tension deck supporting the three-level CLT structure. All levels feature floor-to-ceiling glass, bringing in a large amount of natural light and views of downtown Ketchum and Bald Mountain.

Modern multi-story apartment buildings with wood and metal exterior, large windows, and a concrete base, surrounded by a paved street and some trees.

Log Cabin Refresh

A 1977 log cabin, remodeled into a modern chic home, blending rustic charm with contemporary elegance. The transformation features sleek lines, open spaces, and luxurious finishes, creating a stylish and comfortable living environment.

Living room with light-colored wooden walls, large windows, a gray sofa with white and black cushions, a wooden coffee table with a bouquet of flowers, an armchair, black and white lamps, and framed artwork on the wall.

Unique and Interesting Builds

A small gallery of unique and interesting remodels and projects I've completed over the years.

Collage of modern home and recreational spaces including an outdoor deck with stairs, a kitchen with pendant lights, a bathroom with patterned tile and a cabinet, an outdoor tennis court, a staircase railing, a mountain-view balcony, and an indoor lounge area with a sign that says 'KIC' with illuminated letters.
